Discovering the Flow of Trust: Episode 4

A New Flow Born of Trust

I stared at my monitor. Things were progressing so smoothly, I could hardly believe it.

The emails from the client representative were now filled with precise and accurate instructions, and the team was delivering high-quality results one after another.

“I can’t believe it’s going this well…”

The project was moving along as effortlessly as a boat caught in a favorable current. The stagnant situation of just a few days ago felt like a distant memory. If my past self could see this, he would surely be amazed.

Before I knew it, the delivery day had arrived, and the project was completed successfully. Everything proceeded on schedule, and the quality was impeccable.

That afternoon, I received an email of gratitude from the representative.

“Thank you so much for your support. We managed to meet the delivery deadline without any issues. I’m truly grateful!”

The email felt completely different from the ones I’d received before. It was filled with appreciation, even a sense of warmth. A smile naturally spread across my face as I closed the email.

Since that night when I realized the importance of trusting myself, I had been making a conscious effort to ease my shoulders and try trusting others. Perhaps that had made all the difference. My words and actions must have naturally shifted, resonating with those around me. Yet, there was a larger force at work here, something that couldn’t be entirely explained by mere changes in behavior.

What I gained wasn’t just the successful completion of the project.

A few days later, I checked my bank account and saw an amount deposited that I had never seen before. It was the largest revenue I’d earned since going independent.

As I distributed the earnings to each team member’s account, an unusual feeling began to fill my chest.

“So this is what they call the flow of money.”

Until now, money had simply been something that increased or decreased. But this time, it felt different.

I remembered what Money-san had once said about the circulation of energy. This time, I felt like I could see it with my own eyes. It seemed as though the energy of the team’s hard work and gratitude was carried along with the flow of money.

It was the first time I’d truly understood that money could hold a meaning far greater than just numbers. The realization settled quietly yet deeply in my heart.

Driving home, my phone chimed with a notification. I pulled over to check the email. It was from the representative.

“Our client from the previous project has requested another order. I hope we can work together again, so let’s schedule a meeting soon!”

Another new project. The trust between us had brought in the next opportunity.

Then, another notification followed. This time, it was from a team member.

“I’m handling another project, but the schedule’s getting tight… When I mentioned our last project to the client, they specifically requested your help. Could we discuss this further?”

I could feel trust spreading like ripples. Not just within the team, but extending to the clients and beyond. It was an entirely new experience for me.

The old me would have replied to the emails on the spot, scrambling to craft the perfect response. But now, I found myself pausing with a sense of calm.

“I can respond when I get home.”

I took a deep breath, realizing I was finally starting to forgive myself for not always being perfect. Loosening my shoulders just a bit, I felt a newfound lightness in my heart.

As I glanced out the car window, I saw a bright moon glowing in the night sky. It seemed to be gazing down at me, as if it could see right through me.

Looking at the moon, thoughts of Money-san and my partner naturally surfaced, filling my chest with a quiet warmth.

That warmth extended to myself, and words of gratitude spilled out almost instinctively.

“Thank you.”

The circulation of trust was beginning to create a new flow. And within that flow, I could feel gratitude welling up, spreading gently within me.

Holding onto that feeling, I didn’t yet know where this flow would lead. But I could sense that it would guide me toward something even greater.
